Terms of Purchase
Last updated: 2026-07-26
1. General
This document sets out the terms of use and purchase on https://upsidedown-retreat.com (the "Site"), operated by TODO — registered legal name, business ID TODO — ח.פ. / ע.מ., of TODO — street, city, ZIP, Israel (the "Business", "we", "us").
These terms apply to every purchase made through the Site. Completing a purchase means you have read and accepted them.
The terms are written in the masculine form for convenience only and are addressed to all genders.
Where the Hebrew and English versions differ, the Hebrew version prevails for purchases made in Israel.
2. What you are buying
The Site sells participation in retreats and workshops — guided handstand and freediving training, together with the accommodation, meals and equipment described on the specific event page.
The description, dates, location, price and what is included appear on the event page and form part of these terms for that purchase.
Participation is personal and may not be transferred to another person without our written approval.
3. Service delivery policy
The service is not a shipped physical product. What you buy is a confirmed place at the event.
A confirmation email with your order number and payment details is sent to the email address you provided immediately after the payment is approved, and in any case within 24 hours.
Full practical details — schedule, arrival instructions, what to bring, and the medical and liability forms — are sent by email no later than 14 days before the event starts.
If the confirmation email has not arrived, check your spam folder and then contact us at hi@upsidedown-retreat.com or TODO — +972-XX-XXX-XXXX. We will confirm your booking manually.
Any equipment provided as part of the event (dive gear and similar) is handed over on site at the start of the event and returned at its end.
4. Prices and payment
Prices for customers in Israel are shown and charged in shekels (₪) and include VAT where applicable. Prices for customers outside Israel are shown in euros (€).
Payment is made on a secure, PCI-DSS compliant payment page provided by our clearing company. Card details are entered on that page only, including the CVV verification, and are never stored on our servers.
A booking is confirmed only once the payment has been approved by the credit card company. A declined or reversed charge cancels the reservation.
A tax invoice / receipt is issued and sent to your email after the payment clears.
If a price is displayed with an obvious error, we may cancel the order and refund the full amount paid.
5. Age limit
Purchases on the Site are open to persons aged 18 and over holding a valid payment card in their own name.
A participant under 18 may take part only with the written consent of a parent or legal guardian, which must be sent to us before the event, and only where the specific event page states that it is open to minors.
We may ask for proof of age before the event and refuse participation where the age condition is not met, in which case the amount paid is refunded in full.
6. Our commitment and responsibility
We undertake to deliver the event as described on its page: the training sessions, instruction, accommodation and meals listed there, led by certified instructors.
Should we cancel an event for any reason, or change its dates in a way that does not suit you, you will receive a full refund of everything you paid us, within 14 days. Our responsibility in that case is limited to that refund and does not extend to flights, insurance or other expenses you arranged independently.
Handstand training and freediving are physical activities carrying inherent risk. Participation is conditional on signing a health declaration and a liability waiver, and on following the instructors' directions. Participants must report any medical condition relevant to their participation.
We are not liable for damage caused by a participant not following instructions, by an incorrect or incomplete health declaration, or by circumstances beyond our reasonable control (force majeure, weather, sea conditions, strikes, or authority decisions).
Except as stated above, and to the extent permitted by law, our liability for any claim relating to a purchase is limited to the amount actually paid for that purchase.
Participants are strongly advised to hold personal travel and medical insurance covering the activities.
7. Cancellation policy
Statutory right: under the Consumer Protection Law, 5741-1981 and its cancellation regulations, a transaction for leisure, travel or holiday services made remotely may be cancelled within 14 days of the transaction or of receipt of the disclosure document, whichever is later, provided the cancellation is made at least 7 business days (not counting rest days) before the date the service is to be provided. In such a cancellation we may charge a fee of 5% of the transaction value or ₪100, whichever is lower.
A cancellation notice may be sent by email to hi@upsidedown-retreat.com, by phone to TODO — +972-XX-XXX-XXXX, or by post to TODO — street, city, ZIP, Israel. Please include your name, order number and the event.
Beyond the statutory right, the following applies to cancellations by the participant:
A person with a disability, a senior citizen or a new immigrant may cancel within four months of the transaction, as provided by law, where the transaction included a conversation (including online) between the parties.
Refunds are made to the card used for the payment, within 14 days of the cancellation notice.
- ·More than 90 days before the start date — full refund, less a 5% handling fee (capped at ₪100).
- ·90 to 45 days before the start date — 50% of the amount paid is refunded.
- ·Less than 45 days before the start date — no refund, but the spot may be transferred to another participant with our written approval.
8. Privacy and your details
We undertake not to sell, rent, trade or otherwise pass your personal details to any third party.
The only exceptions are those required to deliver the service you bought and to comply with the law: the clearing company that processes the payment, the email service that sends your confirmation, and disclosure required by a competent authority or court order. These parties receive only what they need and may not use it for any other purpose.
Card details are not held by us at all — they are entered on the clearing company's secure page.
You may ask at any time to review, correct or delete the details we hold about you, by writing to hi@upsidedown-retreat.com.
Full details appear in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.
9. Governing law and changes
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Israel. Exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute lies with the competent courts in Israel.
We may update these terms from time to time. The version published on the Site at the time of your purchase is the one that applies to it.
